The house is just like the pictures. Plenty of room for our 4 trucks and a boat trailer (30ish ft) in the front yard. Huge dock with dolphin mooring and bumpers/rod holders. Water depth at the dock is 3-4ft at low tide. Make sure that the trash cans are securely closed, we had a raccoon one night try to get into them (the cans were knocked over and we saw the raccoon the following afternoon). Like anywhere in the keys, at night the mosquitos are pretty bad. But with bug spray or candles they weren’t that bad. Fishing off the dock there’s lots of mangrove snappers, grunts, barracuda, etc. If bringing a boat, be careful in the channel, there’s a pretty big sandbar and manatees in the area.
Overall, the house was great. The fishing setup is amazing. Absolutely beautiful house. Handicap friendly since it has a small elevator as well.
We have been coming to marathon for 15+ years multiples times every year, and this is by far the best place we have stayed at yet. We will be back!
